Military Veteran?

If you have served in any of the Armed Forces for one day or more, either as a regular or a reservist then you are considered by the MoD to be a military veteran.

We provide services to

  • Veterans from the armed forces (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force)
  • Veterans of Merchant Navy who have served in a theatre of war
  • Veterans from reserve forces, for example, TA and Field Hospital
  • Immediate family members of the above veterans.

Our Service

Inclusion Matters aim to work alongside current care providers in meeting the needs of veterans with mental health issues.

What can we offer?

Our aim is to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of ex-service personnel and their families. We can offer a range of psychological therapies to help you with depression and anxiety related disorders, this includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We can also signpost you to other agencies that can help meet your needs, such as, social networks, employment, family support and housing.

How to Access the Service

Speak to your GP and ask for a referral, or if you are currently working with another agency ask them to contact Inclusion Matters to make a referral.

Our staff

Our staff are trained to offer a wide range of evidence based psychological treatments.

What happens if I am referred?

If you are referred then you should receive an opt in pack, either from your GP or in the post.  This gives you details about our service and tells you to ring the service to opt-in to treatment. When you ring in you will be given an appointment to have a telephone assessment. Someone from our service will ring you at the allocated appointment time and talk to you about what issues you have. They will then advise you what course of treatment is appropriate. If you agree, a therapist will contact you to arrange treatment appointments.
