Inclusion Matters Wirral Launches 7th November

During this initial phase of our service delivery we'll be doing our very best to keep all colleagues up to date with service implementation progress via regular updates, starting with the key launch information below.

Who are Inclusion Matters Wirral?

Inclusion Matters Wirral is part of South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust is a national service provider delivering primary and secondary care mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services across the country. Inclusion Matters provides IAPT services in Liverpool and Sefton. For more information see about us

Where will the service be delivered from?

The service will be provided from GP surgeries, community venues and from January 2012 a central hub location in Woodside Business Park in Birkenhead. For more information see location matters

How do I refer?

The existing referral process of providing the patient with an information pack, asking them to telephone to agree the date and time for their assessment / appointment and faxing the referral information, will continue.

A supply of patient information packs (has now been sent to you) with a copy of the Referral Form.

The electronic version of the referral form and the PDF version are here for download too.

During the transfer phase the service referral details are:

Referrals to be faxed - 0151 922 5729
Queries telephoned - 0151 955 3200
Correspondence to - Inclusion Matters, Units 4 and 5, Washington Parade, Bootle, L20 4TQ

Following the training and induction of admin staff, admin support for the new service will move on an interim basis to Claughton Medical Centre. In January 2012 the service will relocate to a permanent base at Woodside Industrial Park, Birkenhead. Further details will be sent out in due course.

What workforce does the new service have?

The total workforce including admin, management and clinical staff is 27 WTE. TUPE has just been finalised and the service will be starting with a number of vacancies for which recruitment will commence immediately.

What about waiting times?

Clinicians transferring into the service from the previous provider will move across with their current case load. There is also a backlog of assessed patients awaiting treatment. Given the above it is likely that waiting times may be impacted upon in the start up phase, we would ask GP colleagues to be patient as transferred staff will have to be inducted, new staff recruited and administrative systems bedded in. For the more information see waiting times
