I've finished therapy... what now?

If you’re feeling happier and confident, and your life looks positive, now is the time to make sure you make your new strategies a habit, and to use your confidence and positivity to take your life in the direction that you want.

Prevention is better than cure. What do you know now that keeps problems away? Here are some things people can find helpful:

  • Exercise
  • Healthy food
  • Enjoyable activities and hobbies
  • Spending time with friends
  • Limit alcohol use to the recommended limit
  • Get enough sleep

Think back to your therapy at Inclusion Matters. Try to remember what small everyday things you learned made a real difference to your life. Are these still part of everyday life? How can you keep them part of your life? Make them a habit – do them daily or weekly as part of your routine, as normal as making a cup of tea. The more of a habit become the less effort it is to remember to include them in your life.
